Illustrated Histology Laboratory eGuide: A Pilot Project for the Medical College of Georgia.

 

This is a sample illustration from the histology laboratory eGuide I designed and illustrated as my Masters Project. One of the problems I have addressed in this guide is how students struggle to visualize "flat" histological sections as the three dimensional forms they were once a part of. My solution was to create one-to-one interpretive illustrations that would overlay corresponding histological photomicrographs. The students are able to toggle the opacity of the overlying illustration with their cursor, an interactive feature that is unique to this guide.
